Icomera Positioning Client

Both Icomera Mobile System and Icomera Vehicle Gateway include positioning services that is capable of fleet positioning. Icomera Positioning Client is an entry-level product that provides services for fleet positioning that will seamlessly integrate with that of Icomera Mobile System and Icomera Vehicle Gateway. This allows companies to avoid having to run multiple fleet positioning systems even if they have a very heterogenous fleet.

In addition to the fleet positioning, this product also includes event triggers and basic I/O capabilities. This can be used to send positioning updates triggered by some external input. Another example would be to log when and where cargo doors were opened and closed.

The power consumption of the Icomera Positioning Client is sufficiently low to be able to run it off solar cells for an absolute minimum of maintenance.

Suggested use of this product:

  • Positioning client for full fleet positioning; by itself or together with other vehicles in the same fleet equipped with IMS or IVG
  • Temperature sensor coupled with positioning data for certain types of vehicles, cargo wagons etc
