Twenty one diesel-electric hybrid double-decker buses equipped with Icomera Wi-Fi will travel across Sheffield as part of a campaign by Stagecoach Yorkshire. The buses, with free wi-fi, are claimed to cut carbon emissions by 30%.

Paul Lynch, managing director, said the buses would provide customers with the same service and hoped they would entice more people on to public transport. According to Stagecoach, each bus will use 20,000 fewer gallons of diesel a year.
