Amtrak Encourage Passengers to Break the Travel Quo
In their new marketing campaign, Amtrak are reminding passengers of the benefits of rail travel over road and air. Using a selection of humorous scenarios, “Break the Travel Quo” demonstrates how rail passengers can enjoy connected, productive journeys. The advantages of train travel which are highlighted as part of the campaign include free Wi-Fi on most Amtrak trains, power outlets for every seat and no ‘airplane mode’, allowing travellers to use their phone whenever they want.
The multi-platform campaign features a dedicated website at breakthetravelquo.com, radio and outdoor advertising, as well as social media and PR. Amtrak President and co-CEO Richard Anderson commented: “We’re excited about this campaign because it showcases what we know our customers love about rail travel: comfort, convenience and a premium experience.”
