Our dedicated design and engineering division, DG8, are a creative and versatile team with extensive experience in delivering projects from concept through to implementation.

Industrial Design

Product Design

Starting from concept sketches through to final manufacturing drawings, DG8 can design bespoke or customise existing interior products, ranging from seating, tables, luggage racks and luggage stacks, to lighting modules and bike storage.

Graphic Design

Within its industrial design department, DG8 undertake graphic design including vehicle liveries, interior and exterior signage.

Interior Design

DG8’s design capabilities allow them to produce a complete vehicle interior, including 3D visualisations, schedules of colours and finishes, and full colour contrast assessments, ensuring all designs meet current standards and regulations.

Textile Design

When an interior scheme is produced, all aspects are coherently designed; this includes the design of new textiles, including seating materials, carpets, and curtains.

Engineering

Electrical Engineering

DG8 provides a complete design solution for system integration and modification or installation of electrical equipment. The team offers vehicle surveys including power capacity testing, EMC investigations and fault analysis.

Engineering Design

DG8’s talented CAD team can deliver cost effective, reliable and high-quality designs. DG8 work in compliance with all relevant standards including those imposed by manufacturers, owners, and operators.

Engineering Documentation

DG8’s project engineers and technical authors have many years’ experience in the rail industry. Whether it be fault investigations, leading engineering design, or full suites of mechanical reports to support engineering design, the team can provide documents to meet many engineering requirements.
