About the Role:
As an Embedded Software Developer at Icomera, you will help develop the next generation of network routers for vehicles. The embedded team is responsible for analysis, design, implementation, and testing of the router OS as well as its applications. You’ll work closely with hardware and web development teams, contributing to innovative solutions that are visible to millions of passengers around the world. If you enjoy working on the Linux platform, networking, and tackling firmware or hardware challenges, this is the role for you!
Key responsibilities:
- Write high-quality code with focus on performance and maintainability.
- Communicate with and support team members and other stakeholders within the business.
- Follow established development processes and related standards.
- Contribute to a positive working environment and help optimise performance of the team.
Requirements:
- sc / M.sc degree, in computer science, physics or equivalent.
- 3+ years of Linux-based software development experience in an agile environment (C/C++, Bash).
- Deep knowledge of computer networking.
- Passion for the Linux platform and software development.
- Proficient in English, written and spoken. Working proficiency in Swedish, written and spoken, is a plus

Icomera is looking for a Head of Engineering Europe who will lead and manage the Engineering department for Europe. This role will capture customer demands, shape and share requirements with product management and product development. As the Head of Engineering Europe, you will also drive improvements for Field Engineering performance and services. Additionally, you will drive technical sales opportunities by providing solutions descriptions and technical designs to sales during all stages of the sales process. This position will report to the Director of Global Engineering. You will be part of our global team across all locations such as Italy, France and Sweden, where the Icomera HQ is located.

About the Job
- Be technically responsible for the solutions delivered to the customers.
- Ensure team capabilities to deliver high-end solution designs and descriptions for commercial offers.
- Enable and enforce use of design standards and standard documentation whereas possible.
- Enable team to efficiently tailor designs and standards to customer needs.
- Maintain financial control and reporting of the engineering team’s costs. Accountable for correct time reporting on projects.
- Ensure the efficient and secure management of the Field Engineers.
- Report on change progress and the later assessment of team capabilities.
Ensure that the teams:
- Secure technical solution and support to sales teams and conducts technical analysis of product configurations to determine customer specific pricing.
- Prepare and conduct technical sales briefings for customer and company representatives.
- Research customer technical specifications and estimating the costs, resources, time, and technical requirements of modifying, configuring, and installing the product or solution.
- Evaluate sales proposals to ensure they are technically accurate and consistent with the organization’s quality standards.
- Spot opportunities for upselling based on technical demands.
- Resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and conduct initial user training.
- Prepare designs and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, deployment, installation, testing and/or commissioning of solutions.
- Secure knowledge sharing within operations.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Proven line management experience, preferable in IT support or field engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in a sales and project engineering role in the ICT environment, preferably within industrial networks.
- 8 + years of Engineering experience and experience of managing a team in an international environment.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written. Proficiency in Swedish and /or other languages is a plus.
