Icomera Customers Recognized in the 2022 Passengers’ Choice Awards for Excellence in Ground Travel

Wanderu, the leading bus and train travel booking platform in North America, has announced the winners and honorees in the inaugural edition of the Wanderu Passengers’ Choice Awards for Excellence in Ground Travel. The awards are the first of their kind to recognize and honor the quality of service that bus and train companies have provided to travelers across North America.

First Place: Amtrak  

Not all passengers have the same priorities. Some might prioritize arriving on-time at all costs, while others don’t mind a long trip, if there’s good Wi-Fi onboard. It’s not the 2010s anymore, and Wi-Fi is now an expected amenity for any extended travel. Amtrak was mentioned for their Best Wi-Fi.

Amtrak is the largest passenger railroad service in America, offering daily intercity trains to 375 destinations across the contiguous United States, as well as several cities in Canada.  

Amtrak exceeds passengers’ Wi-Fi expectations, and the train carrier’s fast, reliable and easy-to-access internet connection earns it the gold medal as the provider with the best Wi-Fi.

Ground travel is accessible to passengers from all walks of life. However, certain kinds of travelers do hit the road or rails more often than most. To gain their perspective, Wanderu looked at the average ratings from regular business travelers.  

It’s no surprise that the winner of the Best Wi-Fi award, Amtrak, is also beloved by business travelers. Based on trips which passengers identified as business-related, Amtrak tied for the highest average rating. Even those who did not upgrade to Amtrak’s Business Class still appreciated the reliable Wi-Fi, spacious seats, and punctuality of Amtrak’s trains.
